Wood County Hospital participates with most major health plans offered in our service area as listed below. However, please verify coverage and benefits with your health plan prior to receiving services as some plans may have network restrictions.

Commercial Plans without a Network:

Some commercial plans do not use a contracted provider network and instead reimburse a fixed amount (often a percentage of Medicare.) Wood County Hospital is unable to accept this type of insurance. Patients with these plans will be registered as self-pay except for emergency situations.

Wood County Hospital is out-of-network with Devoted Health Medicare Advantage, Molina Medicare Advantage, The Health Plan Medicare Advantage and Zing Medicare Advantage.

Medicare Supplement/Medigap Plans:

Medigap plans are extra policies that help cover out-of-pocket costs in Traditional Medicare. Most Medigap plans cover care provided by any Medicare provider, including Wood County Hospital.

However, United/AARP offers certain Medigap plans branded as “AARP Medicare Select Plans” (e.g. Select Plan G) that have a network restriction. Wood County Hospital is out-of-network with these plans.
