From a child’s checkup to a new health concern or an ongoing condition, Dr. Turkson’s approach begins with listening. She wants to understand what matters to each patient and takes time to answer questions and explain care options so patients can feel confident in their decisions.
For Dr. Turkson, one of the most rewarding parts of family medicine is getting to know people over time. Caring for several generations of the same family gives her the opportunity to build lasting relationships and support patients through different stages of life.
Before joining Wood County Hospital, Dr. Turkson spent nine years teaching family medicine at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree, completed her family medicine residency and received a Master of Public Health from Wright State University.
