WCH Emergency Staff Earn First Recognition in New Stroke Alert Program

Earlier this year, our Emergency Department launched a Stroke Alert Recognition Program to honor staff who act fast and meet critical stroke alert protocols.

In August, we celebrated Dr. Connor Parsell and primary nurse Natalie G. who quickly diagnosed an acute stroke and administered life-saving clot-busting medication well under the goal time.

For their quick thinking and dedication, they were awarded special gold-dipped brain lapel pins —a symbol of the brain they saved.

This program ensures every stroke patient receives timely diagnosis and treatment, maximizing their chance for recovery.

Join us in congratulating Dr. Parsell and Natalie for their outstanding commitment to patient care!
