Dr. Kyle McKray Smith, DPM, FACFAS Joins Team at Falcon Health Center

Falcon Health Center is excited to welcome Kyle McKray Smith, DPM, FACFAS, who will be part of the Falcon Sports Medicine & Orthopedics team.

Dr. Smith provides surgically focused foot and ankle care to help patients regain function, mobility and confidence following sports injuries, trauma or chronic conditions. He specializes in advanced foot and ankle reconstruction, complex deformities, revision cases, peripheral nerve surgery and sports-related injuries, with an emphasis on thoughtful, patient-centered treatment plans.

Dr. Smith earned his medical degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his residency at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. He is board-certified in rearfoot and ankle reconstruction. His advanced training includes limb salvage and charcot reconstruction (a deformity often due to diabetes). He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Podiatric Medical Association, Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association, Orthofix Academy, American Microsurgical Orthoplastic Society and the Association of Extremity Nerve Surgeons.

At Falcon Health Center, Dr. Smith plans to support orthopedic and sports medicine services by expanding access to specialized foot and ankle care for the local community. Dr. Smith explained that he chose Falcon Health Center because of "the genuine sense of partnership and support for physicians. It was clear from the beginning that collaboration and patient-centered care are truly at the heart of the organization."

What he enjoys most about his specialty is combining problem-solving with hands-on surgical care to help patients regain mobility and quality of life, often after long or frustrating treatment journeys. “I believe good care starts with listening, honesty and clear communication,” Dr. Smith said. “I want my patients to know that I truly care, and that we’ll make decisions together every step of the way.”
