Heel Scans for Bone Mineral Density

Heel ultrasounds are a quick, easy and radiation-free screening tool, that not only assesses bone density, but may also provide some information about the quality of the bone.  Studies have shown that screenings such as these can help identify people at high risk for hip and other fractures especially when these results are combined with an evaluation of other known osteoporosis risk factors, such as your age and body mass index, your history of fractures and falls, and whether you smoke.

Pre-registration is required.  Please call Wellness Services at 419-354-8887 to sign up for a screening today!!
