Introducing Tawfik Mussad, MD, to Falcon Health Center

Wood County Hospital is pleased to welcome Tawfik Mussad, MD, as the new Medical Director of Urgent Care at Falcon Health Center.

Dr. Mussad is a family medicine physician whose career in healthcare began in physical therapy. He spent more than a decade as a licensed physical therapist in Michigan before transitioning to family medicine, working in both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation settings and serving in leadership roles.

He earned his medical degree from Xavier University School of Medicine in Aruba and recently completed his Family Medicine Residency at The University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

As Medical Director of Urgent Care, Dr. Mussad looks forward to delivering timely, compassionate care while helping strengthen urgent care services for the community. He is committed to supporting his colleagues, expanding care options and ensuring patients receive the right care when they need it most.

His clinical interests include urgent and emergency care, primary care, sports medicine and physical rehabilitation. He enjoys the broad scope of family medicine and the opportunity to care for patients experiencing a wide range of acute and chronic health concerns. His background in physical therapy has also shaped a strong interest in helping patients improve function, mobility and overall wellness.

In describing his approach to caring for patients, Dr. Mussad shared, "My goal is simple: listen carefully, treat every patient with respect, and provide the same level of care I would want for my own family."
