Wood County Hospital Expands Cardiac Rehab Services
Wood County Hospital Expands Cardiac Rehab Services to Include Supervised Exercise Therapy (SET) for patients suffering from Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD).
Wood County Hospital is excited to announce the expansion of its Cardiac Rehabilitation services to include SET for patients suffering from PAD with claudication. This new program is designed to help improve mobility, reduce symptoms and enhance overall cardiovascular health for PAD patients.
SET is an evidence-based therapy that helps patients with PAD increase their exercise capacity, improve blood flow to their legs and reduce discomfort from walking. Certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Rehabilitation, the program follows guidelines established by the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. The addition of SET builds on Wood County Hospital’s comprehensive offerings, including Phase II and Phase III Cardiac Rehabilitation programs, making it easier for local patients to access this specialized care without traveling far from home.
Our experienced team provides personalized, evidence-based care to help patients with PAD regain their quality of life and minimize symptoms.
