Your Child Development Care Team
The Center's Medical Director is Sherri A. Thomas, MD, a fellowship trained developmental-behavioral pediatrician, one of only three such specialists in Northwest Ohio.
Dr. Thomas has a commitment to care for children with developmental and behavioral conditions. She obtained her medical degree and completed her pediatric residency at Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. For 10 years, she worked as a pediatrician in the Bowling Green area. In 2011, she completed a developmental and behavioral pediatric fellowship at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus.
Dr. Thomas is supported by a team of experienced healthcare professionals, including a registered nurse and pediatric therapy specialists from the Wood County Hospital Rehabilitation Services Department. Expertise is available in Physical and Occupational Therapy, and Speech and Language Pathology.
The overall goal is to optimize the child's and family's capacity to function in their environments by designing specific programs customized to the child's unique needs.
