Wood County Hospital is committed to providing personal care and professional excellence to all it serves.  It offers a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient health services.

General Patient Services

Obstetrical services including 24-hour epidural anesthesia, midwifery and LDRP birthing suites; traditional and minimally invasive gynecologic surgical services; full service 24-Hour Emergency Department and Chest Pain Center staffed by board-certified emergency medicine physicians; ReadyCare, an alternative for non-emergency treatment when the doctor's office is closed; intensive and progressive care units with bedside telemetry monitoring; a surgical suite with major, routine and outpatient operating facilites, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.


Patient Care Units

Intensive Care Unit - a seven-bed unit located on the second floor for patients require cardiac or intensive care services.  The ICU is designed, equipped and staffed to provide critically ill patients with quality, high-tech care.  Patients are continuously monitored with state-of-the art equipment that enables their caregivers to better diagnose, treat and manage their care.

2North - a 36-bed unit for medical/surgical patients, short stays and pediatrics.

2South - a 40-bed unit with telemetry and adult medical/surgical capabilities.

Diagnostics - Located in the first floor.

Emergency Department - Located on the first floor.

ReadyCare - Treats minor cases after the doctor's office is closed.  Located adjacent to the Emergency Department on the first floor.

ReadyWorks - Treats work-related injuries and employment needs.  Located on the first floor behind the Lab.

Obstetrics - Located on the third floor.

Sleep Disorders Center - Located on the third floor.

Cardiac Rehabilitation - Located on the third floor.

Rehabilitation Services - Physical therapy, occupational therapy, massage therapy, pediatric therapy, sports medicine and pulmonary rehabilitataion  is located in the Outpatient Rehabilitation Services building.
