    Three Wood County Hospital nurses received the Nurse Excellence Award on May 4, 2015 as part of the hospital's 2015 National Nurses Week observance. The winners were: Jodie Wint, RN for the Traditional Nurse category; Christine Wulff, RN for the Non-Traditional Nurse category; and Lori Tuck, RN, for the Leadership category. Now in it's fifth year, the Nurse Excellence Award is given annually to a nurse who is nominated by her peers, manager, or a physician.

    The Wound Healing Center (WHC) is celebrating its 6th year in operation at Wood County Hospital on Friday, January 30, 2015 with a community open house from 2-4:30 p.m. Attendees with have an opportunity to meet the physicians and staff, tour the facility which includes two Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers, and win prizes.     On Thursday, January 9, 2014 Wood County Hospital is hosting a free Brown Bag Day: Medication Safety Review program from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the hospital meeting rooms. WCH pharmacist Todd Leopold, PharmD, will give a presentation about medication safety. Community members are invited to bring in all their medications, over-the-counter and herbal products for review by pharmacy students from the University of Findlay.
