Dr. Thomas is one of only two fellowship trained developmental pediatricians in Northwest Ohio and one of 33 in Ohio. Development and Behavioral Pediatrics is a specialized field of pediatrics that deals with developmental and behavioral problems of children ranging from infants to age 21. Some of the conditions include intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, visual and hearing impairments, genetic disorders and delayed development in speech, language and motor skills. Diagnosing and treating these conditions as early as possible is important.
