Carlos Gomez, M.D., orthopaedic surgeon will discuss the next generation of Total Knee Replacement featuring Signature Personalized Patient Care. The new technology utilizes preoperative MRI of the joint. Utilizing the MRI a 3-dimensional alignment system is developed that is used during surgery. With the alignment system there is no guesswork involved when the surgeon is positioning the new joint in the patient's knee.
Karen Rippey, PT, physical therapist will discuss the free pre-surgery excercise class offered by the Rehabilitation Services department for those who plan to have surgery.
