Wood County Hospital Dedicates New Addition
( Wednesday, February 03, 2010 )

Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green dedicated its new  100,000 square foot addition on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at a community open house. The $42 million expansion has increased the hospital’s size by 50 percent and includes new technology and new amenities. “Hospitals need to frequently update and adapt themselves to the realities of 21st century healthcare,” said Stanley Korducki, Wood County Hospital President. “The new building will impact almost every area of hospital operations and almost all the patients will feel the difference in better and more efficient services.”

“We are so proud of our new facility and so grateful for the support this community has shown as we have planned and built it,” Korducki said. “Not only is our new building aesthetically pleasing, but we have brought in the best in terms of new technology, new approaches to multidisciplinary care and improved comfort and service for our patients and their families. We sought and used input from our staff every step of the way as we planned for our addition, so this truly was a team effort.”

“This project signals a new era for the delivery of healthcare services in Wood County, and it reinforces Wood County Hospital’s commitment to provide the highest quality of care to the community it has served for 59 years,” said Commissioner Carter.
